SCATALOGIK.com has it’s ancestral roots in scruffy little xeroxed pages, typed, tippexed and stapled into something called a fanzine (stretching back well over a quarter of a century!). That was all a long time before this interwebnetty thing when the world smelled of carbolic soap and people went outside. Once upon a time, such nefarious, illiterate and generally misconceived habits were a necessity.
SCATALOGIK.com reviews small things of worth, archives selected contributions made elsewhere and occasionally posts other things of interest. If you have such a small thing of worth you would like put through the mincer, get in touch. We won’t review everything – Life is short and we’d rather watch David Attenborough talk about insects than endure stuff that has little or nothing in common with already published content. And don’t send your publicist a knocking or we’ll eat them… we deal with raw humans around here.
About the archive reviews – Many of these originally appeared from a blog called Wretch Falafel c.2009-2012. Some were written specifically for that website, others for Irish fanzines at various points in time (including Nosebleed, Riot 77 and The Devil On 45). These were judiciously selected for the archive on the basis that they loosely fit the glove of SCATALOGIK.com… other material from the yesterslums may surface from time to time…
